zambatron
Got the brazilmac dvd and attempted installation. Followed the instructions and all - the installer stops in the middle, complaining that it cannot find the packages it needs to install. Fine. Opened the terminal, looked at the rc script and launched the installer by hand, with the osinstall.pkg as an argument - it worked this way. Did the EFI thing and used grub as a bootloader, that part works. Problem: after the boot the gui does not start. I see the Nanit driver initialize, no errors, but then the os just sits there. What's the equivalent of /etc/init.d/xdm start? How do I get the GUI to come up, or what starts it? Maybe the installer did not extract the required packages? If so, what are they called?
