Soon i'm going to take a stab at making MAC OSx86 Leopard run on my PC and had some questions.First off, my image seems to be in good order but I wanted to confirm with you guys. The file name is: "MAC_OSx86_Leopard_9a581_GM_Hackintosh.zip" and has a size of 2.51gb while in that zip format and here is a snapshot of what is inside the archive: Hopefully this is the set of files i need to do the install on a separate partition since I'd prefer to dual boot my workstation.Also, I'm quite concerned about the compatibility of the hardware I have in my PC since as you'll see, it's not the basic store bought type. CPU: Intel Q6600 G0 Quad Core @ 2.92ghz w/enzotech Ultra-X 120 Motherboard: Asus P5N32-E SLI nForce 680i chipset Video: 2x EVGA 8800 GTS 640mb in SLI (nVidia) RAM: 6gb G.Skill DDR2-1000 (2x2048 + 2x1024) HDD: 2x Western Digital 74gb 16mb "Raptor" 10k SATA RAID-0 HDD: 2x WD 16mb 250gb SATA2 RAID-1 Sound: Sound Blaster X-FI Platinum Case: Coolermaster Stacker 830 w/4x 120mm + 4x140mm fans PSU: PC Power & Cooling 750w Silencer SLI Optical: LiteOn 52x CD-RW & NEC 16x DVD+-RW OS: Vista 64-bit Home Premium Monitor: Dell 2407wfp 24" wide-screen LCD Keyboard: Logitech DiNovo Laser Media Desktop w/bluetooth So.... what are the chances I'll be able to run some of this gear under Leopard?Thanks in advance!-Andrew Oh yeah.... i think i just realized that the software I specified in the original post is actually an update. I also have a 4.02gb file called "kalyway_osx86dvd_Leopard_9a527.iso" which thinks it's a zip. I heard I have to actually unzip this file on a MAC in order for it to extract the proper image. On PC, it simply says its screwed up. arima Posted November 20, 2007 Share Posted November 20, 2007 I have similar hardware to yours except for a E6600 and a nForce 650i chipset. I did not have any success booting this image. The bootloader loaded everything, but as soon as it started the kernel it instantly rebooted. I'm fairly sure this has something to do with the nForce chipset. That image is made to be installed on whole hard disk since it also contains the partition map. I may try this on my Toshiba laptop then....
