Hardware Upgrade Troubles

I recently upgraded my Mac G3 450mhz OS-X memory to 1GB (4/256 mb)

18GB SCSI OS/boot fixed disk ------- 120 GB ATA IDE slave fixed disk

All I get at post is a grey screen with the Mac Icon which flashes back and forth with a question mark folder Icon. Machine will not boot to CD or Fixed Disk. Worked fine before memory upgrade.

 

Troubleshooting steps taken so far:

CMD-Option-P-R ---- no results ---- no boot to hard disk or CD

CMD-Option-P ---- no results --- no boot to hard disk or CD

CMD-Option-F --- no response to access to CMOS --- no boot to hard disk or CD

"C" key on post/bootup ----- no results ---no boot to hard disk or CD

Programing button ---- executed command --- "mac-boot" ---- no results --- no boot to hard disk or CD
