v3ng3anc3
Hey Guys, I really want Leopard, but I can't download it without knowing as to whether or not my graphics is compatible. I have a 8600GT and I've heard mixed responces about its compatability. In a nutshell, is the 8600GT compatible? If not, I have a crossfire compatible motherboard, If I keep my 8600GT in the primary slot and put a X300 (i'lll buy one) in the secondary slot run the VGA through there, will that work and show that card with leopard? Cheers, jking197 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/71311-graphics-compabability-help/ Share on other sites
Synaesthesia
No, the 8600GT is not working. I don't think you should go for the X300 either. Get a more compatible card, like a 7-series nvidia with 256mb ram. You can get quite cheap ones. I think you could run off a secondary card like that, but I'm really not sure. For a full list of working gfx cards, go here ->http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...4.8#PCI_Express edit: The 8600GT will work, but with no accelleration of any kind.
