I installed 10.4.3 all patched up and ready to go on my p4 2.4 sse2 machine. It's on it's own HD. I unplugged the other windows hard drive entirely.

Alright, so I boot up to the installation and get one option of where to install it, my 120GB drive... but it's grayed out. I go to the disk manager and format it as a journaled drive. Great, install OSX... all goes cleanly. Then I start up and get that "HFS+ Partition Error"..

I tried reinstalling but didn't work. What's the next step?

Ok, I just ran the startup disk utility from the DVD, selected the drive with OSX on it, and it froze. Just thought more info would help.

I also had that error and after installing some software it dissapeared. The complete guide with everything I've done in it is on http://profit42.com/guides.php?id=1

What software? Acronis Disk Director? I'm not dual booting. Again, I haven't been able to boot into OSX at all... and when I boot to OSX, my XP drive isn't hooked up at all.

Still you can try to install the OS selector on the XP drive to test if there's anything wrong with the hd...
