Hi

I've been trying to get OSX working on my computer for a few days now, I've tried installing uphuck's 10.4.9 1.4i build, it installed with no problem (even with a SATA DVD Drive) but it wouldn't boot afterwards. I've tried to delete the kexts that seem to cause the kernel panic using macdisk (because the console mode wont boot) and it corrupted the partition.

So I've decided to "aquire" the JaS 10.4.9 build and try again because it's a larger image and comes with more patches and modifications which could help.

Anyway my question is: Could anyone who has a similar system to me suggest the options to select during installation that will work well? I'll list the specs below:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66GHz FSB 1333MHz

XFX NFORCE 680I SLI INTEL SOCKET 775 DDR2 - (I've heard there can be problems with these chipsets)

2GB DDR2 RAM @ 800Mhz

2 x 7600GT in SLI config

80GB IDE HDD - (Where I intend to install Tiger)

SATA DVD Drive - (Could this cause a problem with the installation?)

Thanks in advance for any help!
