Leguman
Hello, I have a problem (as expected) on my Asus M6BV20. I have patched everything (Sound, QE, CI, and WIFI) but an issue persists: the CPU. The clock is very slow, e.g. 1s in the mac is equivalent to 5s in the reality, and the graphic effects (like Cube effect for the user switching, the road under the apple on starting etc...) are about 5 time slower than on a real mac. The processor is an Intel Centrino 2GHz SSE2 (no SSE3) recognized as "Unknown 800MHz". It's not a FSB problem, because I've tried this solution, I have also tried to install "ACPICPUThrottler", the effet of the road under the apple is correct, but the system never starts up. Any piece of solution ? Don't hesitate, if it can help me ^^ PS: The config of the Asus M6BV20: CPU: Intel Centrino 2GHz SSE2 Sound card: Realtek ALC880 Graphic card: ATI Radeon X600 Mobility Ethernet: Marvel Yukon Wifi: Intel Pro Wireless If you have any problem with this kind of material, don't hesitate to ask. RobbeD
had that problem too, my first solution was disabling one core in the bios, that solved the slow cpu speed, but that wasn't the ultimate solution because I wanted to work on dual core.. after that i changed something in the boot file, i will see in the plist what i changed because i can't exactly remember! Leguman
I am running Mac OS X 10.4.8 with the kernel 8.8.1, and I've tried to update to 10.4.9 with the kernel getted on the irc, but it has crashed. I have done the manipulation several times, and always the same result: the wheel under the apple during the startup turned normally, but the system has never started. I have tried to boot in -v mode, and I have found that it has crashed at this step: [HCIController][setupHardware] AFH Is Supported This text has been displayed, and nothing after, I have let it run during several hours, but nothing. Do you know why, and how to correct it ? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/69197-gui-and-clock-very-slows/#findComment-493650 Share on other sites
