Abrilon
I have tired the flat image install which reboots ever time it gets to the gray apple screen... I have also tried the BrazilMac install and it does the same thing... keeps rebooting at the gray apple screen before it gets to the installer... Any ideas? Thanks! I have a Pentium D 2.67 GHz machine (SSE3) 1.5gig ram GeForce 8600 GTS Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/69115-leopard-105-keeps-rebooting-before-install/ Share on other sites

Abrilon
Sounds like an unsuccessful patch On the flat image install (the one where you run a batch file from windows) I never touch the patching... However, on BrazilMac image (where I am supposed to EVENTUALLY patch it), I don't even get to the OS X installer... it reboots before the installer loads... right after Darwin finishes preparing it (albeit it is ALSO the gray boot up screen). I think my hardware is pretty normal... nothing crazy... so any insights? So sad Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/69115-leopard-105-keeps-rebooting-before-install/#findComment-491121 Share on other sites
theguide
If you have 4CoreDual-VSTA motherboard it wont boot properly because it's looking for SSE3 and although the board claims to support it it really doesn't, this may affect other Via chip boards. thegodfaza
When it keeps rebooting it means that the kernel is crashing. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/69115-leopard-105-keeps-rebooting-before-install/#findComment-533258 Share on other sites
