xlined
hi, I have osx86 10.4.1 installed on a partition that uses up to the whole hd. But now I want to create a new partition to install MS Windows Vista on it. How can I make free space to create an partition for Windows? after installing windows, what bootloader do I need to bootup OSx86 and Windows Vista? thank in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6902-creating-extra-partition/ Share on other sites
crazymonkeypants
Mac OS does not support resizing partitions. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6902-creating-extra-partition/#findComment-42645 Share on other sites
Templeton Peck
There are programs that'll let you resize an HFS+ partition without reformatting (can't recall their names off hand), but none of them are free. My advice? Reformat and repartition your HD, but use this as an opportunity to upgrade to 8F1111a. You'll need to dld 8F1111 first, then use the seed patch to bring you to 8F1111a. 10.4.1 was very buggy and a lot of stuff didn't work. 8F1111a is a LOT better.
