Tried
As in tiger, when we choose to change the desktop backgroud, we are able to add a whole folder onto the background list or select a specific wallpaper and the whole folder would be added onto the list. however in leopard, as i was trying to change the wallpaper, the wallpaper could not be changed as the folder is not visible on the list. I am wondering if anyone has this problem. here is what i did. at the bottom left of the preference screen, there is the add button. After clicking on it, i choose the designated folder to be added and nothing happens. The folder does not appear on the list and the wallpaper remains the same. If i try to re-add the same folder, leopard comes up with an error saying that the folder is already on the list. However, it is nowhere to be seen. another thing i realised is that when i search for system files with spotlight, it does not seem to be able to find it. Is there a preference list that i could edit to enable them to search for files in the system folder? for example if i searched for CoreServices, spotlight returns zero results. thanks for the heads up guys...
