Maci
What we Got: 1x Leopard DMG from Retail DVD (Verified working on my MacBook Pro / G4 / eMac) 1x BrazilMac 9A581 Patch Kit 1x GM Kernel from (BrazilMac Kit) Intel Only 1x GM Kernel patched with sdelta (the one with the source release) AMD Friendly 1x GM Kernel from (Posted in kerns.zip) AMD Friendly Machine is an AMD X2 4200+ that runs 10.4.10 perfectly. Now making a OSx86 boot CD goes without issues. Burns successfull. Booting the system requires the "-legacy" flag else the system just kernel panics because of 64-bit mode not being supported yet on AMD. 1st Kernel obviously dies. 2nd and 3rd both kill themselves just after the USB subsystem is initialized and leaves the system hanging on: unknown SIGSEGV code 0 Wouldn't supprise me if a kernel baked from the fresh XNU sources will fix the problem but does anyone have any plausable solutions for now ? Update 03/11/07: SIGSEGV is caused be binaries not having been properly patched yet. The system carks itself trying to execute an unpatched / encrypted file. If you get this double check you've patched things with the kits out there or with Marvin's AMD Utility. Sincerely Yours, Maci P.S. Yeah I know, Posted in 10.4 when it should've been in 10.5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/68736-leopard-105-gm-9a581-on-amd-cpus/ Share on other sites
