pixelator99
I have just installed uhphuck 1.4i r3 on my dell 5160 notebook. The graphic card in it is a Nvidia fx Go5200 128mb, 1450 x 1080 Everything installed fine and almost everything works great. except when I drag a window around on the desktop. when I do that, the window being dragged does not redraw/refesh correctly and looks all messed up with parts of the desktop showing through it and all. If I zoom it over move somethign in front of it, it will redraw the window ok. I have tried installing several different ways, with no graphic card and drivers selected on install, with the nvidia mobility driver installed and with the nvidia driver and agpgart driver (tried 1.0 and 2.2) and it all looks the same. the weird thing is that the Uphuck DVD installation software, when it boots up into the Mac OS desktop, the graphics work fine there, and I can drag windows around with no problem. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? Or even what driver/settings the uphuck installation dvd uses so I can somehow set that as my graphics settings on the hard drive? also as a side issue, how can I uninstall a video driver manually and then reinstall a new driver from the installation dvd without having to reinstall the whole OS. I have just been reinstalling everything as I test the various drivers so I dont have mulitple video drivers on the system, but I know there must be an easier way than that. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/68228-screen-refresh-problem-dell-5160/ Share on other sites

pixelator99
I posted the problem on the uphuck forum and I got a solution. I am posting it here in case anyone else ends uo with this problem. I installed the Titan driver and the AGPGart 1.2 Works great even at the full resolution of my lcd panel. Seems a bit slow though but that could be just because of the high rez.
