billzz
Hi all,I reinstalled mac.nub's excellent 10.4.10 package this afternoon after a quick test this morning (everything worked fine) and now the LAN (Realtek RT8111B) does not seem to be working at all?? I reinstalled the RTL1xxx_1.02 drivers thinking it might solve the problem but alas no. My XP partition on dual boot is still using the LAN with no problems.Does anybody have any idea what I could try to get this back up and running again?? Or any tests I could run to try and figure out what the problem could be?Many thanks for all replies.Sorry, forgot to post, my specs are:Abit AW9D-MAX4gb ramonboard audioICH7R chipsetEverything else seems to be working fine, LAN just seems dead ... drfella
Do you have your pc setup to dual boot with windows xp? If you do, have you done any updated recently? The same thing happened to me this past week after I did a Realtek update on windows and the nic would turn off if I shutdown windows. I have to go into the properties of the NIC in windows and change some settings so it wouldnt turn it off at shutdown. Something like energy save.
