PS, anybody help me on ALC260 audio to work??? bibendum Posted October 27, 2007 Share Posted October 27, 2007 First of all you don't have a Macintosh, it's called a Hackintosh for a reason. It is running a hacked version of the operating system. If you download and run a legitimate update, the results will generally not be pretty. Don't do it. Search this forum for how to update to 10.4.10... Next, I have yet to see any support for the ALC260 chip. You'd probably be better off purchasing one of those under $10 (or £5) USB sound dongles... twobunnyrabbit Posted October 28, 2007 Share Posted October 28, 2007 Why dont u get a copy of koolkal's update install package? I upgraded my Uphuck 1.4ir3 10.4.9 to 10.4.10. Only thing to do after that was to boot into single user mode and add the devID to the relevant kextes for the graphics card.
