SAM Error

Hey guys, i was talking to delsol earlier about a problem i was having and suggestion i got was that the file i was using wasnt compatible with my comp

intel p4 1.5ghz, 768mb RD, nvidia geforce fx 5500oc

intel d850gb mobo

 

so i was told to get one of the old version JAS file things and specificaly Os

OSX_1048_AMD.rar

 

the error i got before was

SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, ASC = 0x29, ASCQ = 0x00

and shortly after: Still waiting for root device.

after trying this new file i was told

i get same error

Your disk controller is the problem. Try other settings in bios or maybe another driver if you have one.

I was reading on somewhere too and thought that may be the issue

what exactly am i looking for in bios?

i was thinking of double checking for the disk and optical being set to master

Okay after info here and info there

i went at it and set my hdd to master

used a jumper on pins 7 and 8 , its a seagate barracuda and on their site it said that was it

anyways no luck on that

i also plugged all other cd/dvd drives and left only 1 connected which would read my os x dvd

however im still getting the SAM error, any other ideas?

i want to ask you , which Mac OSX you install?

and what is your computer's hardwares? such as.. mb .. cpu..displaycard..
