BOL_fan Posted October 20, 2007 Share Posted October 20, 2007 I've used OSx86 versions of 10.4.7 and 10.4.8 before without incident, but after installing Uphuck's 10.4.9 v1.4i on my Dell XPS m140 today, my optical drive isn't recognized by the OS! It doesn't show up on System Profiler, and nothing appears in Finder or on the desktop if I pop a disc in. Keep in mind that the drive worked fine for the entire installation process; just not now. I have no idea what the exact model of the drive is though, sorry. Thanks in advance for your help. That didn't work either. Any help would be appreciated!
