gonzo.damn Posted October 17, 2007 Share Posted October 17, 2007 Hello, everyone. I just wanted to post my expirience qith this installation package made by Kalyway. At first i had 10.4.6 Myzar installed, later i had to format my HD and i lost the 10.4.6 pkg...so i installed 10.4.5 Jas and it went smooth, but not perfect...apps crashed and the stability was my biggest problem. I tried to update with some guides on the internet to 10.4.8, but everytime i messed my installation. Later i tried with the 10.4.10 Koolkal, but it stopped at the Repair & Fix part of the installation and messed my HD too.... So....without any hopes i downloaded the Kalyway pkg...burned it and tried installing it while i was running OS X....it didn't worked....so i lost all the remaining hopes and dreams.... But then...a light came to me in a dream and said that i should try a clean installation....so i woke up.....turned the PC on....and crossed my fingers....it launched the disc....and later (and quick) i was in the installation program...i decided not to make a clean installation, so i made an update.... and here i am, running Mac OS X 10.4.10 natively, and it is the best and fastest version of OS X in my PC....i can run Illustrator and Photoshop CS3 without problem, and that's saying something as i have an 6 years old SSE2 only P4.... so, thanks Kalyway, and hope this helps someone... Danyel Posted October 17, 2007 Share Posted October 17, 2007 Hi Gonzo: Thanks for sharing your experiences. I installed Myzar 10.4.6 over a year ago on my OSx86 mPC at home. It runs great and fully supported (Graphics, Sound, Networking, Wireless). There are many applications that require 10.4.8 or higher (mainly iTunes 7.4x). I've tried other distributions (Jas 10.4.8, Uphuck 10.4.9, etc) but none have worked so far.
