z0mbi3
Hi, I'm trying to install Uphuck 1.4.9a on a Compaq Presario and I'm getting a "Input/Output error" when I try to format the HDD. I've done a bit of research and it seems to point to Sata support being at an early stage that won't allow the drive to be formatted. Unfortunatley, with this being a laptop, I'm unable to switch to an IDE alternative and I don't have any sort of Sata > IDE masking options in the BIOS. Is there another release I might get more joy with? I've heard Kalyway has better sata support but don't want to waste my time downloading it if I've been misinformed. What do you think? acumos
I yesterday tried to install uphuck 1.4a in a SATA2 HD with Asrock Alive NF4G-DVI with nforce 410mcp southbridge. The installer dvd started, detected the partition but when I started formatting it from disk utility the process ended after a lot of time returning an error message.
