minnie
Hi all. Does anone know what the deal is with the Badaxe2 lan not logging on automatically? After boot I have to change it's Network setup to manual, then back to dhcp to get it to work and log onto the network. It's kind of annoying.... BJMoose
What installer are you using? What kind of internet connection do you have? What did you check when asked what kind of internet connection you had during setup? What is your ethernet set to in System Profiler when you first boot up (e.g. en0 or en1...)? minnie
Hi BJMoose, thanks for the reply. I'm using the XXX 10.4.10 installer, the ADSL Modem runs wired to the Ethernet connector. I usually select Ethernet during the setup, can't remember but I'm pretty sure I did this time too. It says en0 in About This Mac, and for all intents and purposes works fine, but not until I do the DHCP/Manual thing. I know the modem is ok and worked fine with my other board..... BJMoose
Okay, after you check ethernet, do you add anything manually in the next screen (e.g. dhcp or anything else) or do you just click enter and let OSX choose the settings? I don't choose anything in that screen and I've never had a problem on any install (probably over 100 installs of different versions on several different systems with the BX2 board). I also choose cable modem in the previous window. I don't know if either of these choices will make a difference for you or not.
