Juxta Posted September 24, 2007 Share Posted September 24, 2007 hi again, i need to copy files from my usb thumbdrive onto root. i have created a temp directory as my mount point /temp. the usb drive is formatted Mac Os Extended(journaled). in /dev i see disk2 and disk2s1 and rdisk2 and rdisk2s1 come up when i plug in the stick. i've tried using ' mount -t hfs /dev/disk2s1 /temp' 'mount -a /dev/disk2s1 /temp' and every other variation!! whatever i do i can't mount it so i can copy my kernel files to root. please help!!! Juxta Posted September 25, 2007 Author Share Posted September 25, 2007 ok...let me ask another stupid question and apologise for being totally new at this. i need to copy a file from the cdrom to my root directory. i have booted into single user mode -s. i believe the cdrom is mounted in /Volumes/cdname??? is this correct? i can't access the cd...is this possible in single user mode?
