I’ve been trolling around these forums for a couple weeks now and I think I got the basics down. It seems to me a lot of people are in need for an 8x00 driver, me included. One topic about it has more than 500 posts. A lot of people also claim they are willing to make donations to whoever releases a driver. Well, what of the chances of them actually coughing up the money after they already get what they want? Devs know this too. So I propose a prize fund for the dev who releases the first drivers. It would be PayPal based and easy to contribute to and easy to distribute to the winner. At first I was going to create it myself but I realized this is my first post, everyone would think I was out to rip them off. So if an admin, or someone well respected in the community, will kindly create a PayPal account I will be glad to be the first to contribute. Now there should also be some requirements of the prize for us to discuss. For example, should it support mobile and desktop cards, QE/QC quarz/opengl, ext... So far these forums have been awesome. I can’t wait to get OS X on my 1520. Aaron P.S. One more thought. It might be a good idea to cut donations off at a certian date to prevent devs from waiting for the fund to rack up before they release.
