I am using the marklar-tiger. I have converted it to an iso and patched it. All checksums were correct. It boots up to the install just fine. When it is done with the install it goes through the countdown until it reboots but it just sits there. I left if for almost an hour with it still trying to reboot. So i rebooted it. Then the boot loader failed. I restarted the install process again to make sure that i didn't miss anything. Then when it finished it did it again. But this time the boot loader worked until it came to the main screen and said that it needs to shutdown in 4 different languages. when i try to load it to safe mode it just sits at the grey apple screen with the spinning bars at the bottom.

Hardware: AMD (s754) 3000+ ((SSE3) according to AMD), 768 MB RAM, NVidia 5200 256ram, 20 GIG HDD.

When running the install i get the following verbose comments that might help.

failed to load extension com.apple.nvidia.nv30hal

couldn't alloc class NVDANV30HAL

can't load localhost lookup[51]: can't load

/system/library/privateframeworks/netinfo.framework/resources/lookupd/agents/ds.bundle/ds

Not sure what else i can do. New to the mac world. moving from bsd and linux world to mac hopfully :)

Tried another install. The install seemed to be ok. This time when the reboot count down started it finished and went to a black screen. Then i got the following on the screen:

launched: Server 0 in bootstrap 1103 uid 0: "/system/library/PrivateFramework/DiskImage.framework/resources/hdi"

Ejected"[188]: exited abnormally: Killed

Continuing

jnl: close: flushing the buffer cache (start 0x462800 end 0x465a00)

done

MACH reboot

once rebooted it started to load and got to the grey apple screen but then said to restart the computer in 4 languages.
