consolation
Quick point, dv2000 covers a LOT of different models made by HP. They all say pavillion DV2000 on the screen bezel. The actual model is on a sticker, on the bottom below the S/N & P/N numbers. It says service tag ... For example, mine is a dv2405tu. To avoid confusion you should quote that model designation. A dv2000 can have any number of different, cpus, gpus, wireless and audio codecs. Thanks HP Hope that's some help, mine is my linux box - I might get around to chucking os x at it soon. ApplePeel
Hi guys, I have a DV2000T CTO as well. I've been reading up on its compatibility with Leopard and/or 10.4.10 since I've been mostly using it as a business laptop until a few days ago, when I got a Sony VAIO UX280P as a business use replacement. Now that I can relief the DV2000 of its mission critical duties, I want to see if I can get OSX to run on it. I already have a BIY box that is very similar to Consolation's (P5LD2 v2 with a 7600GT) running JaS 10.4.8 --> 10.4.9. It's running well. I bought a cheapy USB soundcard from eBay to get rid of the sound problem. Any of you DV2K owners have a solution to the Intel WiFi problem? I know that many people have tried replacing the card-- any luck with those replacements? Which ones have you used? TIA.
