cjevo
Hi guys, i'm new here so forgive if i aks something realy dumb. I really want to install OSx on my computer and i tried: Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].iso and uphuck 10 4 9 v1 4i r2 iso both didn't work and resultated in the same error: USBF: 33.882 EHCI controller unable to take control from bios USBF: 33.882 AppleUSBHCI[0x459b800]: unable to obtain ownership: 0xe00002b USBF: 33.882 AppleUSBHCI[0x459b800]: :UIMInitialize - Error occured (0xe00002be) USBF: 33.882 AppleUSBHCI: unable to initialize UIM IOBluetoothHCIContoller: :star Idle Timer Stopped Still waiting for root device and then nothing further happens it keeps giving "Still waiting......" On your forum i saw a few topics about: USBF: EHCI Controller unable to take control from BIOS but wasn't able to get something helpfull out of it for me. My problem is exactly the same. This is my system: motherboard : Asus P5B-VM processor: pentium dual core 2.13 ghz (E6400) now i've tried in my bios multile settings from disableling the hand off feature and putting usb leagacy to disable, but nothing worked. could it be that i need a diffrend USB driver?? PCGenUSBEHCI or something?? Thank you very much! casw1000
If it helps, I tried building hackintosh using uphuck 10.4.9 uni 3 and kept getting blinking cursor, now I have built (to a certain point) using Uphuck 10.4.9 1.4i R3 and I dont have the errors your getting.I will write out my bios settings and post back here tonight. I have a Asus Barebone V3-P5G965 which has a P5B-VM inside. Maybe I can help a little. It might be worth trying to download Uphuck 10.4.9 1.4i r3 and give that a try.I am still not built the hack yet as my own build is failing at a certain point, I have posted asking for help already. So if I figure it out, I will be happy to share and help where I can.Regards,Colin. casw1000
Well after a very long day at the office, the first thing to do is check my bios settings for the USB options. So here goes. Under the Advanced Tab, USB Configuration my settings are:Legacy = AutoPort 64/60 = DisabledUSB 2.0 Controller Mode = HispeedBIOS EHCI Hand Off = Disabled.Apart from that, everthing is kinda normal settings. I still have to play around with my own setup as I am not yet running myself, but I hope this is of some help. All the same.Colin.
