Norchogane
So the first thing you have to do is to format your partition with another utility I'm getting the same type of error right now with the Tubgirl. I've tried that, and I also tried using fsck to find errors. It found some and fixed them, but I'm still not having any luck. Now I am also getting "input/output error" and "insufficient privledges" for partitioning in DiskUtility. I have no idea how to actually get around this... I have an HP Pavilion dv9410ca. (Specs: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/ca/en/ho/WF...reg_R1002_CAEN) It'd be great if anybody knows anything about this... I have been working on this for over a week also (kind of obsessively). It's really exhausting.. Edit: I'm assuming the Input/Output error has something to do with the hdik error that comes up on my screen with every DVD. If anyone's willing to help, here's a picture: http://i14.tinypic.com/4ozteyt.jpg I tried doing something with my USB drive, and it can't do anything to it either.
