Jocomotion
Motherboard: Asus P4P800-E CPU: Pentium 4 3.2 GHz HT SSE2 Memory: 2GB Video: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Mac OS X 10.4.9 (uphuck 1.4i rev3) --- The system runs nearly absolutely smooth, fast and stabile. nearly means - as soon as the cpu usage hits 100% the current application crashes. System itself remains stable. first the errors appeared using garageBand 4.0 - i thought there was an application error, or incompatibility, but some testing with other applications revealed that that they all crash at 100% cpu usage :/ Anything i can do? What i thought of but don't know how to do it: Throttle CPU to not use more than 95%? Disable/Enable Hyperthreading (System Profiler says 'Total Number of Cores: 1)? Use another kernel? Thanks, jo.
