Keldek
First, I'd like to say thanks to those of you who even made this possible. I'm not sure if this problem has been covered, as I'm not sure how to go about searchng for a problem such as this (since from the looks of it, panics such as this are for specific hardware issues) I followed steps 1-5 from this guide flawlessly, using Uphuck's release 10.4.9 v1.3. Upon starting step 6: I insert the Disk, reboot the computer, hit enter to install, in which this screen appears (loading kernel & files) Approximately 3 seconds after Loading HFS+ file: [/System/Library/Extensions.mkext] from 4230450. completes, I get this screen My system specs are as follows: Processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+ AM2 Mobo: Asrock ALiveNF5-VSTA BIOS: ALiveNF5-VSTA BIOS P1.50 Memory: 2GB (4x 512MB) DDRII (667Mhz) (Dual Channel Mode) (GEIL) HDD: 1x 80GB Western Digital SATAII (WD800BD-00MRA1) (trying to install to this drive, Windows Vista Ultimate also resides here) 1x 200GB Samsung SP2004C SATAII (encrypted work volume, not directly formatted) 1x 250GB Seagate ST3250824AS SATAII SATA Operation Mode: AHCI Video: Gefore 7300 GT 256MB PCI-e Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated. If you require further info from me, please let me know and I'll provide as many details as possible. Keldek
bump Anyone have an idea as to how to fix this problem? I've tried running the setup on a different machine as well (amd athlon 64 x2 3800+ AM2, Asus M2V mobo, gecube radeon x1650pro PCI-e, Seagate 200GB SATA2) and receive generally the same panic error: panic (cpu 0 caller 0x0019DACB): copy_window_init: cpu > num_cpus Any light on this matter would be greatly appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60990-debugger/#findComment-433354 Share on other sites
Dimitriy
try to boot with -v cpus=2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60990-debugger/#findComment-434474 Share on other sites
Keldek
Thanks for this. The problem I had above was solved using that commend, but alas I'm still no further along than I was before Now, once the files load (same process in my first image above), I get to the debugger screen. There are no panic messages this time, but upon "Started cpu 0" the system hangs. I'll provide a screen later to show exactly what's happening. The same hang also occurs on both pc's I've listed above. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60990-debugger/#findComment-434839 Share on other sites
