I have searched through all the forums, and have yet to find a solution that works. I have tried to use the AppleHDA patcher, and when i drop the correct .txt file on the logo, nothing happens. I also tried to use Alcinject but that also didn't work. I know its not coming out of the mic becuase, i don't have a master volume slider in the midi utilty. Any ideas?

Wow, I can't believe you cannot find anything on this topic. It's been asked and answered a million times, several within the last couple of days. It's very simple to get the audio out working on the bad axe 2 board. There is no fix anywhere for the mic unless you just use a usb box like the Creative Labs 24bit Live.

Copy Taruga's patcher 1.15 or 1.16 into a folder. Copy the linux stac text file into the same directory. Within that directory, just drag the text file on top of the patcher icon and drop it there. The patcher will do it's own thing. Reboot and you will have sound out.

Now, that being said, only you can know what you've done or not done that might defeat this. If this doesn't work, re-install OSX and follow this procedure and it will work. You don't need to check any audio kexts during the install. Good luck!
