theethan77
Hey, mine's not on the list, and its not seeing my hard drive. What do you do if your SATA controller doesn't work for Mac OS X x86? Or is there anything I can do? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5996-sata-controllers/ Share on other sites
dscrap
Hey, mine's not on the list, and its not seeing my hard drive. What do you do if your SATA controller doesn't work for Mac OS X x86? Or is there anything I can do? First of all, a better title and description is needed. If you would like help, you need to give as much info as possible about your system. Many controllers not listed can be made to work with some edits... Controller? CPU? Mobo? Video? Nic? Audio? A Thank you... JTRIP
I hope you dont mind i take over your post. Im having the same problem, that is, HD not showing up in disk utility. I have an Amilo 7a40 with an 80Gb Seagate sata disk driven by an Intel 82801 FBM controller. This is not listed in the hardware compatibility list, at least not with that name. Im confused, is this a part of the ICH6 southbridge or is it a completely different thing? Is there any hope? Thanks in advance.
