Brandonw
Hey, I know that this has been explained a few times around the forum, and the accepted method to thet the WLI2-PCI-G54S wireless card to work is here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...l=WLI2-PCI-G54S But its just not working, I edited the kext exactly how it says, adding the device id 4320 in with all the others, but the airport icon never shows up, so i cant even get to step 2. My first suspicion is that I have the wrong device ID... I'm Just using 4320 because someone else said that was the ID for their WLI2-PCI-G54S. How do you find you device id for my specific device, i tried in windows, but i just don't know where to look. I tried searching for how to find Device ID on this forum, but the 4 character limit always stops me from including "id" in the search. So first lets confirm that i have the right device ID, then I'll worry if its still not working. config in sig. Brandonw
Ok thanks for the program thats just what i needed, i used it and found that my device Id was 4318, not 4320, so i updated the kexts, and we're in business now. This site should really consider dropping the 4 letter minimum on search words, ive had problem with that more than once, and i hate posting useless, repetitive threads.
