I tried to install uphuck 10.4.9 v1.3 , but the diskutility (of installer) cannot find my harddisk and display only the DVD ROM that has the installation DVD.

My system confuguration is:

----------------------------

Processor: Intel Pentium D 805 (2.66 GHz, duel core), supports SSE2 & SSE3

Motherboard: Intel 101 GGC

RAM: 1 GB DDR

Graphics: Onboard (ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series)

Sound: Onboard

Hard drive: 2 x 80GB Sata (Samsung)

Liteon DVD ROM

Sony DVD R/W

I cannot use my SATA harddrive as Primary/Secondary disk. Maybe my BIOS doesn't have support for using SATA harddrives as primary/secondary hard drive. I can see only my Sony DVD R/W as Seconday Master and Liteon DVD ROM as secondary Slave. so, there is no Primary Master/Slave drive configured. Is this the cause of this problem? Or uphuck 10.4.9 v1.3 installer doesn't support SATA?

I am currently having the same problem. The installer loads up fine, but for some reason it doesn't recognize that I have a harddrive, only my damn DVD drive shows up. I've tried partitioning the drive into a FAT32 partition but it still doesn't show. I've looked around on the forums for a few days now and still haven't been able to find a complete answer. Some of the posters said that I have to change my SATA drive to an ACHI, but I cant because I cant find it in the BIOS. If someone could please come up with a DEFINATE answer, that would be much appreciated.

see my install experience:

warning: make sure you repartition the right drive... if you're unsure leave other harddrives unplugged!

Your installation needed to set your SATA hardrive as Primary Master, thank god you could did it. But my computer doesn't let me to use any SATA harddrive as Primary/Secondary Master/Slave. I can see my 2 SATA harddrives in seperate section in BIOS (as On SATA Port 0: Samsungxxxx, On SATA Port 1: Samsungxxx...etc...)

What can I do? Yes, I can buy a PATA/IDE hard drive, but first I need to be sure that Mac will be installed successfully, otherwise the money will be wasted. I still cannot manage to install these hackintosh releases in Vmware! Can anybody say whether uphuck 1.3/1.4i_r3 works on my system (using a PATA/IDE harddrive, see my signature for system configuration)? I specially need to know whether Intel 101GGC motherboard and ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series onboard graphics works with osX86? If yes, which release? Anybody has any info?

Yesterday I successfully installed Mac OS X 10.9.4 (uphuck intel v1.4 R3)on Vmware server. Now I know it really works! ;)

After my dinner I'll try to install it natively using a PATA/IDE Hard drive. I saw some BIOS/Motherboard (i.e. Gigabyte 945 GC S2) let you choose your SATA harddrive as Primary Master, and I could successfully select a SATA harddrive there to install (and the installation was successful). My motherboard (Intel 101 GGC) only use SATA harddrive in separate SATA port, and I cannot use SATA harddrive here. Using a PATA/IDE harddrive is the only option.
