madoff
Relatively new to OSx86 installation and there are quite a few iterations of OS X out there. Has anybody here had any experience installing on Sony TZ series ? Which version should I get based on the specs provided by Sony below? Thanks! keylimesoda
I'd probably start with the JaS 10.4.8. It's seems the be the most all-around successful option for most people running Centrino laptops. I've seen success using JaS 10.4.8 on my Thinkpad T60p, and I'll be trying it on my new Sony TZ soon... Anawrahta
Any updates on these efforts?? The TZ is imo the best subnote on the block, and if you could get osx on it, it'd be one helluva machine. outZider
I installed OS X onto an 8gb flash drive, and brought it to the local Fry's where they had a TZ160N/B on the floor. It booted up okay, but the screen was set to 1024x768, and Displays only showed 640, 800, and 1024. That is likely a small tweak. Wireless is unsupported, you'll have to pick up Atheros. Forgot to include the network driver, but that should work without a problem. Bluetooth was detected and works, as does the Firewire port. No luck with the SD slot. Sound looks like it's possible, but did not get it working on the demo. XBench scored 84 with the disk test shut off. Not terrible. Screen looked gorgeous with OS X. I'm seriously looking into these laptops, so will continue to see what I can find. outZider
SwitchResX allowed it to go to maximum resolution. Enclosed is the XBench output from the TZ130. No luck with Power Management bundle.
