j0nnyr0773n
I just finished installing uphuck 10.4.9 again and this time I chose no customized options. The only thing I checked was the os to install, no drivers, no apps, etc... Everything seems to boot fine until after the apple disappears off the screen and I get a blue screen where the cursor is supposed to show up for the first time but there's no cursor and then the screen just goes black. I have tried booting -x for safe mode and can successfully boot to the desktop, browse the web etc.. Where can I find the bootup log file to troubleshoot exactly what is causing the problem. I have tried installing with specific drivers, apps, etc.. as well but everytime I get the same results. I know I'm close but am not familiar enough with this to narrow it down. Any help would be much appreciated Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58225-uphuck-1049-fresh-install-no-boot/ Share on other sites

j0nnyr0773n
Thank you for the reply but I ended up figuring it out. I am using the 7800GS and I what I did to fix this was wipe the partition clean before reinstalling and installed with no specific grafx drivers and things worked fine but then I needed to install drivers because it was kind of laggy. I wiped the partition again and reinstalled with Titan and everything works beautifully. I am kind of bummed to hear that my Audigy 2 sound card will not work but I can live with that, I am quad booting and just experimenting with osx86 so far..... for now I think I will be hanging around these forums for awhile reading, learning, and asking questions.
