jayband
Hi there, I've installed uphuck 1.3 with no issue on my thinkpad t60, changed my com.apple.Boot.plist to default 1400x1050x32. However, I have a game "Civilization III" that will not run due to 1024x768 16-bit mode. I was wondering what I need to add to have it work it support 16-bit mode as well. I guess the question is to support more display mode under Display Preferences. Thanks. R2k.
you need graphic driver for that. you see, with that changing com.apple.Boot.plist to default 1400x1050x32,you just made fix resolution of screen. games and maybe apps (i don`t know really) don`t recognize fix resolution without graphic drivers... thats why you cannot change resolutions in Display Preferences ... ~R Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57831-display-resolution-question/#findComment-413227 Share on other sites

jayband
it's a Thinkpad T60 X1400, so there is no driver for that to change the resolution, right? jayband
Rzk, thanks for your link, I do have the 1400x1050x32 setup correctly, but just can't dynamically switching between 32-bit to 16-bit without rebooting and changing the com.apple.Boot.plist. Wonder if I can just go to Display menu and have it change there... BrumBrum74
Is there a way to set a !2" laptop screen with Intel GMA950 gfx card to higher resolution than 1280x800? Will it crash OS X? I mean editing the com.apple.Boot.plist. If it's possible. How can I edit it the easiest way and how?
