Ok so I've finally got OsX86 installed on my laptop thanks completely to these forums :P I ended up installing Uphuck's latest 10.4.9 v1.4 version.

My system specs are as follows:

Dell E1505 Core Duo T2500 @ 2Ghz

ATI x1400

1 GB Ram

SATA 100GB HD

STAC 9200 Audio card

Broadcom 440 ethernet

Dell Bluetooth

Everything works nearly perfectly, the x1400 just has a problem with the mouse leaving artifacts behind (mostly when I use the mouse wheel), the only solution I've found that kinda works is the MouseLocator method with the shadow image. It still isn't perfect but unless any of you know how to fix it, its gonna have to be good enough...

The reason I've posted this topic has to do with the audio card. It works fine even the buttons on the front of the laptop seem to control the volume slider. The thing thats not working is when i plug in my headphones it won't mute the internal speakers. I have read all over the this forum and random other places but I can't seem to find a solution.

If anyone could point me in the right direction somewhere I would be extremely grateful.

Also my mic isn't working nor are the mutes enabled, other than that I'm really happy with this setup. Its hands down the fastes Mac I've ever been on 8-)

Does anyone know if tweaking the AppleHDA.kext manually could disable the internal speaker? It seems like there are a few settings in there that could control either all the availible outputs and/or the volume of the outputs...

do you know if those will actually effect the output? I tried setting the Internal Speakers pre and post to 9, but to no avail...

I'm also using the Azealia driver too if that matter, I'm still not even sure what thats for but it was recommended in the forums.

I have the same system as you and I was wondering if you could tell me which conbination of graphic drivers you used to get the x1400 to work. I'm using the same 1.4i install disc, The system boots fine and I can run it in console mode without any problems. I just get a black screen when it tries to switch to graphics mode.

Also, does the on board network card work? and do I have to do anything special to enable it?

Thanks

EDIT: Ignore this message, I managed to get everything, except for the wireless card, working last night. My audio card is also doing the same thing yours is. If I manage to get it muting on headphones I'll let you know.
