sulfr
After some trouble I managed to install OS X on my machine and the installer finished gracefully, when it rebooted i was left with a flashing underscore as if it was waiting for an operating system, the install disc isn't in the drive and the Darwin boot loader doesn't appear. I tried using the disc to start -s and set the OSX partition as active, which it wasn't. So I shut it off and came here for help, I've tryed booting up with the disc in the drive again and now all i get is SAM Multimedia: READ or WRITE failed, ASC = 0x11, ASCQ - 0x05 EDIT: after printing that for several lines along with "disk1s3: I/O error" it dropped me to a single user CLI and attempted to see if the partition was set as active but it couldnt find the partition and wouldnt do anything. EDIT2:I tried cleaning up the disk a little and finally got it to boot with -x (i think thats what did it). Also, I don't know if I should reinstall OS X or use the Disk Utility to Fix the MBR and if so how. Someone please help >< Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57803-uphuck-v14i-doesnt-boot-even-after-setting-osx-as-active/ Share on other sites
