camellia2 Posted July 20, 2007 Share Posted July 20, 2007 Hi all, many thanks for helping each other out. Got uphuck 10.4.9 install dvd v1.3. Verified md5, and burnt it at 1X. In the beginning, I was able to pass boot prompt where you type in boot parameters, and it did proceed to GUI screen. At that point I couldn't complete the installation, as it won't recognize trackpad, and I had to get a mouse for it. On the second try, I can't never pass the boot prompt. I press F8, type in rd=disk0s2 -v, then it would immediately go back to "Press any key to install Mac OS X, or press F8 to enter..." screen. It goes on and on, and I could never pass this screen with any combination of boot parameter. Strangely, I attempted to install it with vmware, and I was able to proceed to GUI screen. I couldn't complete the installation from there either, but that's another issue... Has anybody else experience similar issue? What'd be my option?
