This is a renamed continuation of removing kext's if anyone is following

Basically I have an old-ish computer

ASUS P4B533 Mobo,

P4 1.5ghz,

radeon 9800xt (i know this doesnt seem to fit but i got it as a cast of from a gaming rig)

etc...

I coppied a tiger-x86-flat.img to a correctly created partition then i booted up the darwin bootloader (which booted perfectly) and ran mac os x tiger

and about 30 seconds into the boot it just froze, indefinatly

so i ran it with -v and the problem seemed to be my unsupported graphics card, so i used a macdrive 6 trial to remove all the ATI*.kext and .bundle files.

It still wont load though

now it says

link/load error in kernel extension AppleACPIDisplay.kext

Display family specific matching fails.

I may have mis-stated my stance on this matter in the last forum thread, Im not a complete noob, im a windows poweruser (im trying to change) who is reasonably comfortable with dos prompts and unix consoles and wants to load the mac os onto his second hard-drive.

I just have NO idea what to do.

Any help would be great
