DeanCorp
Hi guys, I want to be able to run OSX on my desktop PC. However, my friend tried it and said it won't work because we have SATA hard drives and OSx86 only currently works with IDE. Is this true? Secondly, would I have any compatibility issues? Here are my specs: CPU:E6600 Motherboard: Gigabyte 965P-S3 Graphics Card: 7900GS TurboForce Edition RAM:2x1GB Corsair 667 Hard Drive: 320GB Seagate SATA II, Sound Card:Creative X-FI Xtreme Music Thanks in advance DeanCorp Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57249-osx86-installation/ Share on other sites
Guest Ramm
That's not entirely true. What motherboard chipset do you have? If it's an nForce 4, your chances of getting it working are very slim... Guest Ramm
The only suggestion I can give is to put in an IDE drive. Then again, it can't hurt to try. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/57249-osx86-installation/#findComment-409344 Share on other sites
