Since it is getting closer to the month I got my MacBook Pro last year (Nov) I have Decided to get it in for repair for a few probles I feel I should not have..

1. Gap in the Grey Trim round the Top, Big at the DVD Drive and Small but noticable in other areas.

2. Soft, Moveable / Squeezable Gap (Air Pocket) between the Case at the bottom and the HD.

3. 2 - 4 Dead Pixels just above the Dock on the left side.

3. Noisy / Clicking Shift Key on press on the right side.

4. Loose Hinge, Display starting to fall on its own when at a low angle. (seems better today for some reason.?)

5. Flickering Screen on low Brightness Settings.

6. Dark Edges on both left and right side of screen, Noticeable on solid bright colours.

I am also gonna take out some AppleCare before the year is Up on the warranty.

----

Even doh I have all the Little problems it is still the best computer I have ever owned. And I am so Glad I Switched.

1. Don't have that in my new SR MBP

2. That's normal, its on most if not all previous gen MBP's

3. That's an individual thing, I have no dead pixels even up to now on my old C2D (2.33Ghz) MBP that got in the same time as you (Nov 06). Apple will NOT take responsibility for this one. I think the limit is in the range of 8 dead pixels, only then will they fix it. To avoid this problem alltogether, make sure you use a screen saver, and turn off your laptop when you are not using it. :)

4. Not a problem on my old MBP, does not exist, its pretty firm

5. This was an issue with some of the MBP's. This problem did not happen to me, I got worried too, so I went to the Apple store and checked it out..and none of them had the issue too, but a lot of people did post the issue online. It was probably a manufacturing issue in one of the many plants the MBP's are made in.

6. Normal on laptop LCD screens. It's less aparent on the new LED backlit MBP's though.

hope it helps :)
