Just update from 10.4.8 to 10.4.9 fix the bug? When you update, did you select some special pkg?I install from 10.4.9, and have not update to 10.4.10
nothing else? no configuration or editing?
nope, just install that pkg. And i install ths osx for two times, each time, after install the os, just install the pkg and i got sound out.

10.4.8 to 10.4.9 cannot fix the sound in bug.

I mean some update made by "software update" fix the bug, I remmember it seems be a safe update...and I am 10.4.9 that time!

so if u are 10.4.9,try the software update, but not update to 10.4.10...

If it work for u...share it here later!

I try it a moment ago, it doesn't work.

I start the software update, and there are two options, 'Security Update(QuickTime7.1.6)' and 'Mac OS X Update(intel)', I install the security update, reboot, no line in.

maybe because i install AzaliaAudio.pkg.
