irishguy3m Posted July 8, 2007 Share Posted July 8, 2007 I patched my tiger-x86-flat.img file with the JaS 1111a Generic patch final ppf file. I created the partition using Diskpart in windows and used C:\tiger-x86> dd if=tiger-x86-flat.img of=\\?\Device\Harddisk0\Partition2 bs=32256 skip=1 --progress to copy the image. I then set the partition active and tried to boot. All i get is a flashing _ and a blank screen. I know that this is when the BIOS is trying to find a bootable OS in the active partition. I booted GParted Live CD and gave Windows the boot flag. Before I patched the file, it booted, but I need to patch it so I have SSE3 Capability as I only have SSE2 in my Laptop. Does anyone know of compatible patches for this image. I cannot burn DVD's so patched install dvd's are out of the question. Thanks to anyone who can help. Otherwise I will copy the image to an external drive and use OS x86 on my SSE3 system.
