clevodude
Firstly a big thanks to the hackers and coders out there who have made all this possible. I am no stranger to windows/linux/Osx but I am not a programer. I have trawled through the forums and learnt alot and followed most of the advice I could find but keep ending up back at this point so thought I would post to see if anyone has a solution and so that others with the same hardware can see the current status... I have a Clevo M38AW its a Centrino Laptop, 2Ghz Pentium M, 2GB Ram and a Geforce Go 6600 video card with 256MB of Vram. I have since the first developers release had good sucess at getting a basic OSX install up and running. Using the hacked Azelia driver I get sound and using the default JAS 10.4.8 install I get unaccelerated video at 1024x768x32. Of course the unaccelerated video makes it pretty useless for anything except poking about the internals of the system. In my quest to get accelerated video I have tried the following: All the different MacVidia drivers and they all do the same, kernel panic on Boot... Titan and Natit both give me a black screen, OSX is still running underneath and I can hit the power button and then enter to shut down gracefully. I have tried all the available versions of both these drivers and they both do the same thing. Because I have the logs from the latest Natit install handy as I write this I will use them to illustrate. Here is a clip from the System log showning the extensions loading, properly I think... I have also tried putting the laptop to sleep to see whether it magically comes alive when it wakes and no luck there either. So nothing exciting yet I am afraid, I would love any help. Thanks!
