jriera Posted July 3, 2007 Share Posted July 3, 2007 Thinkpad T60P (2007-W7L) with the Atheros 5211 wireless chip (Vendor ID: 168C, Device ID: 1014) Downloaded the IO80211Family.kext from the 10.4.5 version Backup the existing one, replaced with 10.4.5, fixed permissions. Edited the AirportAtheros5424.kext and added the device id Reboot IT WORKS!!! so far allows me to connect to the Wireless Network at home (WEP password) and a open one from a neighbor ... no issues so far System Profile reports: Wireless Card Type: Airport Extreme (0x168C, 0x58A) Wireless Car Locale: Unknown Wireless Card Firmware Version: 0.1.31.1 Must be my lucky day!!!
