sahib
I have two computers, one is running OS X, the other is a Ubuntu apache/db server. HP LaserJet 5M uses LPT connection so I can't install it on Hakintosh, but it's connected to the Ubuntu server right now. Could someone please direct me to any kind of guide of how to set up the printer on the server machine so it will be available on OS X through the local network? thegodfaza
Sorry but this post should be under the Linux Forum. Anyway download Synaptic and do a search for print server. I'm sure you can find something. And make sure your /etc/apt/sources.list is up to date. PS. You should consider getting Fedora. I find it more supportive and compatible. You can also open terminal and type su(do) password apt-cache search "print server" apt-get install [the program you want from the list] Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/55969-network-printing/#findComment-400156 Share on other sites
