TheDC70
I have the Bose Companion 5 speaker system. It is a USB type interface and on the box is compatible with the Mac Operating System. Last time I installed Mac on my system everything worked fine....well, it took some time, but it worked. I had the USB ports running at 480 and sound working from a little USB adapter. This time it's all the opposite. I've installed the USB 2.0 patch with no success. Ports still limited to 12. I haven't made any changes to my BIOS since last time either. -AND- Still using the same image, Jas 10.4.8 Intel. Also, used the SoundBlaster Audio USB patch....which impairs USB support, but after installing the USB patch comes back. Somehow last time it worked though. So, any ideas or suggestions would be well appreciated. The Mac OS can detect the speakers, it knows it is there, but it won't use them. Why?
