lars Posted August 20, 2005 Share Posted August 20, 2005 I use the same MoBo and have the same problem with sound. Yesterday I decided to buy a Trust 12949 PCI sound card (which did not worked at all). For my surprise, when I removed it, and activated AC97 on the MoBo again, also turned ACPI Enabled, then I got sound on the left channel (only) !!! Then the ethernet PCI card I was using (few days old only) stopped working, so I decided to buy another one again (it was real cheap), then plugged in, but again no more sound... So I may say I had it working. Now I have tried to redo all steps I did, again and again but still no sound. Any ideas ? Proteo Posted August 20, 2005 Share Posted August 20, 2005 Not sure about your problem, but from the beginning I've also had audio on the left channel only (MSI K8T Neo, AC97 audio). Aside that, it works well, no matter if I'm on ACPI or X86PC mode. lars Posted August 20, 2005 Share Posted August 20, 2005 Problem solved! As easy as plug into the left most connector. I was plugging in the middle, and in this case, it should be done at the left most. Sound!!!!!!!!!
