cmstar
Someone is giving me a analog to digital video converter with firewire output. What I want to know is if I can use this to watch tv on my Mac Mini, not record, but watch the stream as it comes in. Basically hook up my cable box, or xbox, or gamecube, etc to the converter, run the firewire cable to my Mini and watch the live feed? I know I can record this, but what do I use to view it live? elastic
try googling 'quartz composer' it's a part of the dev kit that comes with OSX. after 1 hour or so searching, you should be able to make a .qtz file that you open with quicktime, and gets the live firewire feed on a nice window or you could try to open quicktime, select file>New movie recording, and don't press rec Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/54757-view-live-firewire-stream/#findComment-409314 Share on other sites
