dsc106
I'm running OS X on a hackintosh, using a Viewsonic G90fb 19" CRT. Under Display properties, under the color tab, I have a handful of display profiles to choose from: Adobe RGB (1998) G90fb (** which I can calibrate) Generic RGB Profile sRGB Profile Which of these should I be running to get the best/most accurate color results? I am editing video and I want to accurately know what it will look like on TV screens, as well as PC monitors. What is the difference between these, and which should I choose? (ie should I calibrate my monitor under the g90fb? Use the classic Adobe? etc.), and why? Thanks so much! iRed
Adobe RGB (1998) is the best. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/53643-which-display-color-profile/#findComment-386846 Share on other sites
dsc106
Thanks Sith Lord Mac. I was hoping for an explanation, too. Why is that one the best, and what is the difference between the other ones? Would I want to use different settings with a different monitor? Is there anytime I might want to use another one? Why or why not? Thanks so much!
