This is the error I get on newcomp: Thanks in advance PS not sure if this is a general OSX-Win networking problem, or something related to OSx86, so I posted in here. By the way, I am not using Simple File Sharing on either the compaq or newcomp, but only the Compaq is accessible. Mac autocreated that link to newcomp so I *assumed* it would have worked. Doug the Impaler Posted June 6, 2007 Share Posted June 6, 2007 MPIP103_10.4.7.SMB.CIFS.APF.FIX.dmg Google on that for a download link. It is supposed to fix it. It works on my Intel-based machine, and it fixes AFP so I can connect to another OS X machine on my AMD-based Hackintosh, though I still have SMB problems. Weirdly, I can connect to another Mac running SMB just not Windows machines. It's totally f***ed up... mujahid7ia Posted June 6, 2007 Author Share Posted June 6, 2007 Actually, it's not a problem with the Mac OS x86 installation, because my friend with a real black Macbook with 1.4.9 tried connecting to that computer and got the same error. Maybe I should post in the main OS X section.
